Hello friends of ISEE! We hope you had a lovely festive season.
Andrew is enjoying a 2 week holiday in Rwanda so no update from him this week. He spent the time before his trip handing out hampers to all the mamas who were so grateful again for your generosity.
He is particularly grateful for the water purifier project this year – he mentioned that 30 families, over 100 family members and 500+ students now have access to clean drinking water.
We also had an exciting opportunity to “expand” into Ghana and packed kits with Kassia who is distributing them at her aunt’s school in the Sekondi-Western region. We were able to get 75 complete kits including 2 guards, 8 pads, 1 hygiene bag and a backpack into one 50lb duffel bag and Westjet and KLM allowed her to carry the extra bag for free! Our hope is that when she returns to Ghana in the summer, she will take more kits for the girls there.
We thank you so much for your continued support of our work. Out next big expense will be to add the items needed to make 1250 complete kits for distribution when the container finally arrives in Uganda. No word yet when that may happen!
Happy new year – we wish you a healthy 2023.
