More Thank Yous

My last post was a thank you to the amazing sewers we have in the community through Days for Girls Okanagan (thanks Linda, Linda and Elaine for everything!) and all the individuals who sew at home or at sewing bees (thanks Mum!).

There is another group I would like to thank and that is all our amazing donors. As you know, we distributed 2000 kits and sponsored 8 Mamas this past July. But none of that happens for free! So I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped make our summer success possible.

To those who donated items for the kits (bags, nail files, fabric, etc.), thank you.

To all the individual donors who donate once or monthly, thank you.

And to the organizations who have shared their hard-earned money with us, a special thank you to you too. We know there are many other groups who are asking for funds so ISEE is very appreciative of your generosity with our programs. These organizations include:

Glenmore Elementary staff and students (especially Rhonda who organizes the Month of Love program every February).

Glenmore Elementary PAC for the seafood fundraiser.

Blaze Events (thanks Tara!) who collects donations at the door of the Artisan Fairs for ISEE (mark them on your calendar – they are always amazing – Nov 25th at Glenmore and December 1&2 at East Kelowna Hall)

Dorothea Walker Elementary School

George Elliott Secondary School

Kelowna Secondary School

Dr. Knox Middle School

Gifts to Grandmas who sponsor many of our Mama Nguvu women

Canadian Federation of University Women

Cathedral Auxiliary St. Michaels All Angels Church

Rotary – including:

  • Ogopogo
  • Meadow Ridge
  • Salmon Arm
  • Lake Country

And a huge THANK YOU to Linda and Sunrise Rotary for securing a District Grant for ISEE that funded our vision of 2000 kits. I know this took a lot of time and effort and all of us at ISEE really appreciate it.

Webale Nnyo Nnyo Nnyo to everyone who has made our work possible. Please continue to support ISEE and our work as we are dependant on support from individuals and organizations in order to do all our work!

In friendship,

Erika
