Last Day according to the Maddy(i)’s

We started off our second last day here with donuts and hard boiled eggs. We headed to the Muzungu Market to get some last minute souvenirs and then we went to Roberts store. He teaches young people crafting skills such as sewing and making jewelry. He also sells local Ugandan clothing brands and shoes. We then ate our last lunch of granola bars and headed to Kyengera Primary school. We were given a lovely tour of their inspiring school and met their incredible teachers. Jeanette, Judi, Charlene and Doreen read storybooks to the younger children whilst Erika and Andrew met with the schools director Elias to discuss the schools progress and to deliver the donated books and sports gear. Madi and I spent the afternoon with the P6 and P7 students playing all sorts of sports games and activities. We started with Canadian games such as duck duck goose and capture the flag, then the children taught us their favourite games which were very fun and creative. After an exciting day in the sun we journeyed back to the dorms for our final dinner together as a team to reminisce on all our amazing memories that we have made in our time here.
