Monday according to Maddy

Today started with fried Ugandan sausages and then we were out the door on our way to the team’s first presentations. We first went to St Marks primary school about 2 hours outside of Kampala. We split into 4 teams and each had girl talks with different age groups. Madi and I spoke with girls ages 13-16, they were very enthusiastic and loved the underwear from the kits. We were all quite nervous to present but every group did great. The younger kids wanted to participate very badly and swarmed us as we walked to and from the van. They were very cute and loved to touch our hair and give us hugs. We ate snacks on the bus and an hour later arrived at Nakifuma primary run by an amazing headmistress named Joyce. We again split into 3 groups this time slightly more confident in our presenting abilities and presented again to wonderful young girls. Madi and I were helped by an the incredible head woman of the school to interpret and help guide the girls. To finish of the day we ate dinner and put together the last of the 1500 kits.
