Today was a sad end of what has been the best road trip of of my life! I was so lucky to be apart of the ISEE team that went to the north of Uganda. Everything, even the grueling 10 hrs of car time needed to get there, was filled with new sights and sounds that changed how I see the world. For me it was the simplest parts of the trip that made the memories something I will always cherish: meeting and presenting to the kids for the first time; meeting and filming the village elders under the mango tree (during which I messed up the sounds recording… Sorry Corey haha); and the one memory that I will never ever forget seeing a fire fly for the first time! While there were other great moments like watching Brazil’s shoot out win and the amazing food, it was sitting in a chair under a cloudless starry night watching a mysterious glowing bug that just might have been the best of them. 🙂
