I first had the pleasure of meeting Duncan and his group of amazing dancers in 2009 when they came to Ntinda to perform for our team of volunteers. At that time, he had a tiny plot of land and mud shelter with a thatched roof where the children took their meals and did their homework.
The progress of Elohim since then has been amazing. After the purchase of a small plot of land, Duncan and his children grew vegetables, sold the extras and continued to purchase the land surrounding the initially purchased plot. You can see what has developed since then in this attached video.
This is a great example of amazing Ugandans working to improve the lives of other Ugandans. We meet more people like Duncan each time we travel. It is amazing to be able to play a small part in the vision and growth these individual humanitarians bring to their communities.
