What an amazing year 2012 was and what an amazing year 2013 promises to be!
Our toy sale in November was a huge success and we plan on doing it again next year (with a few tweaks!) Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped us sort and sell the toys and a HUGE thank you to the community members who donated toys. There were people lined up at 9:30 waiting to come into the sale that began at 10. We received a lot of support from local media as well which helped spread the word and make the event a success.
Our application to become a charity has been received and is now working its way up the pile. We have been told that it will be assigned to an officer by the beginning of April. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed that the application process goes smoothly! Corey and I are hoping that we will be an official charity before we leave for Uganda in July but even if we aren’t, we will still begin our 1 year adventure and continue ISEE’s work.
Bree is working with a group in Uganda to create a “Forever Home” for the children at God’s Grace Orphanage. Click the link to find out more and to support her efforts. Please remember that a tax receipt is not available at this time for any donation made to the Forever Home or any of ISEE’s projects.
We are starting to talk about a team travelling to Uganda in July 2013. Everyone is invited to join us, no matter what skills you have! Email me or check back on this website to learn more about our upcoming trip.
Want to sew for us? We are always looking for people to sew the sanitary kits from Days for Girls. If you can’t sew but you have fabric to donate or you are willing to donate your time to cut out kits to be sewn, we can use your help too!
On behalf of the ISEE Solutions Directors, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all the best in 2013 and to thank you for your support of our vision for Investing in Sustainability, Education and Empowerment Solutions.
